Perto Privacy Policy

In short
Perto is a place-based reminder app. You save a place (a “zone”), attach to-dos to it, and get a notification when you arrive. For that to work, the app needs to know where you are, including while the app is closed.
Perto’s privacy idea is simple: your places, your to-dos, and your location stay on your device. There is no server, no account, and we never receive or store any of it. When you uninstall the app, everything goes with it.

What the app handles, and where
Places and to-dos
The places you save (name, radius, and map position) and the to-dos you create are stored only on your device, in a local database. They never leave your phone.
Your location
Perto uses your device location, including in the background (while the app is closed), for a single purpose: to detect when you enter or leave a place you saved, so it can fire the reminder at the right time. That check happens on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your location history.
Address searches
When you type a place name to add a zone, that text is sent to the Google Maps Platform (Places API), which returns the results. This is required to find the place on the map. The search goes from your device directly to Google and is handled under Google’s privacy policy.
Maps
The maps you see in the app are provided by the Google Maps SDK. To draw the map, Google may receive technical data from the device, under its own privacy policy.
Purchases and subscription (Perto Pro)
If you subscribe to Perto Pro, the purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play, and subscription confirmation goes through RevenueCat, which validates and restores the purchase across your devices. For that, RevenueCat handles anonymous transaction data (a purchase identifier, the chosen plan, and the renewal date). This data is not tied to your name or your location. Its use is governed by RevenueCat’s privacy policy (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy).
What Perto does NOT do
- No sign-up, no login. There is no “Perto account”.
- No ads.
- No third-party trackers or analytics tools.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for marketing.
- We do not send your places, to-dos, or location history to any server of ours (we have no server).
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Location (precise and in the background): to detect when you arrive at or leave a saved place and fire the reminder, even while the app is closed. Without it, the app’s core feature does not work.
- Notifications: to show the reminder when you arrive at or leave a place.
You can review or revoke any permission at any time in your system settings (Android or iOS).
Third-party services
Perto uses the Google Maps Platform (maps and place search). Use of these services is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you subscribe to Perto Pro, purchase confirmation also goes through RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy), in addition to the App Store / Google Play.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device and we have no access to it, you are always in control:
- Access and correct: your places and to-dos are visible inside the app, and you can edit them at any time.
- Delete: you can delete places and to-dos inside the app. To erase everything at once, just uninstall the app: all local data is removed with it.

Children
Perto is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be signaled inside the app itself.
